PEOC DIRECTORS                      ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP

ZACH ROBERTS



EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Zach Roberts is the Director of the Pittsburgh Elite Officiating Camps.  He founded the PEOC in June 2012.

Zach currently officiates professional ice hockey as a linesman in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the ECHL. He previously officiated in the Central Hockey League. Zach has earned multiple Calder Cup Playoffs (AHL) and Kelly Cup Playoff (ECHL) appearances. He was also selected to officiate the 2017 CCM ECHL All-Star Classic in Glens Falls, NY.

Zach also currently officiates NCAA Division I Men's hockey in the Big Ten Conference.  He has previously officiated collegiate hockey in Atlantic Hockey, the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA), College Hockey America (CHA) and the ECAC.

In addition to his collegiate and professional hockey officiating experience, Zach was also a member of USA Hockey's Officiating Development Program (ODP), and was selected to officiate multiple USA Hockey Junior National Championships.  During his time with the ODP, Zach was selected to attend USA Hockey's Regional Officiating Development Camp and National Officiating Development Camp.

Additionally, Zach is a current member of the USA Hockey Officiating Development Program (ODP) Supervisory Staff, evaluting officials at the USHL, NAHL and NA3HL levels of play. He also has instructed and presented at numerous USA Hockey seminars and Regional / National Camps.

Zach is a native of the Pittsburgh, PA area.  He attended Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from South University.

Zach and his wife Jaime reside in Harrison City, PA with their son Connor and daughter Riley.

RAY KING



DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Ray King is the Officiating Development Director of the Pittsburgh Elite Officiating Camps.  He has held this position with PEOC since 2014.  Prior to this position, Ray was the PEOC Assistant Director.

 

Ray currently officiates professional hockey in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the ECHL.  He also currently officiates major-junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

 

Ray also currently officiates NCAA Division I Men's hockey as a linesman in the Big Ten. He has previously officiated varsity collegiate hockey in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA), College Hockey America (CHA), Atlantic Hockey, and the ECAC.

 

Additionally, Ray is a member of the USA Hockey Officiating Program Instruction Staff and has instructed at many Mid-Am District seminars and Regional Camps.  


Ray is also a current Mid-Am District USA Hockey Supervisor of Officials and a Supervisor or for the USA Hockey Officiating Development Program (ODP).


Ray is a native of the Erie, PA area.  He attended Erie Cathedral Prepatory High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Edinboro University.


Ray and his wife Nora reside in Erie, PA.

DAVE FRYER



OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Dave Fryer is the Operations Director of the Pittsburgh Elite Officiating Camps.  He has held this position since 2014.  Prior to this position, Dave was the PEOC Marketing Director.


Dave was the Referee-in-Chief of the Western Pennsylvania Hockey Officials Association (WPHOA) and is a current member of the USA Hockey Seminar Instruction Staff.  


Also, Dave is the current Commissioner of the Pittsburgh Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL), the high school hockey league based out of Pittsburgh, PA.  Dave is also the Commissioner of College Hockey East (CHE), an ACHA Division III collegiate hockey league.


Dave is a native of the Pittsburgh, PA area.  He attended West Allegheny High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The University of Pittsburgh.


Dave currently resides in Oakdale, PA.

FRANK BASTONE



PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Frank Bastone is the Program Director of the Pittsburgh Elite Officiating Camps.  He was selected to attend the very first PEOC in 2012, and has been involved in every camp since, both as a participant and as an instructor. 


Frank currently officiates in the USA Hockey’s Officiating Development Program (ODP) as a linesman. He also officiates collegiate hockey as a linesman and a referee in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference of the NCAA. 


In 2013, Frank became a USA Hockey Seminar Instructor following his attendance at the Eastern Instructors Seminar in Lake Placid, NY.  At this camp, Frank earned the Milt Kaufman award which is given to the official who most exemplifies hard work and dedication to officiating.

    

Frank brings a special passion to every game he works. In his career, Frank has earned several assignments for amateur, collegiate, and scholastic Playoffs, Finals, Championships, and All-Star games. 


Frank is from Pittsburgh, PA. He lives in Allegheny Township with his wife Missy.
